Half Pints Preschool and Daycare center was established in 2008 by Robin DeRaps and April Cummings. Robin and April are sisters and grew up with 79
foster kids in their family home throughout their childhood. Being raised in such a way taught them the necessity of quality care for children in need.
Little did they know, they would follow their parent’s footsteps by becoming therapeutic foster parents themselves.
Robin has been a therapeutic foster parent since 2013 and has 6 children. Three of these children are her biological children and three of them have been adopted.
In addition, she has one grandchild and is currently fostering two foster children. April is a therapeutic foster parent as well with 3 children of her own and one
adopted child. She also is blessed with two granddaughters and a grandson and is currently fostering four children which she plans to adopt.
Half Pints was originally opened as an in-home daycare center and now has two locations based out of Waterville, Maine and one out of Fairfield, Maine. We accept infants six weeks
old up to school-aged children.
We are a state licensed facility and are proud to be a Roads to Quality facility.
Quality care for the most important resources we have, your children.
